CASE STUDY
SaaS Marketing Website
A B2B SaaS company’s content-heavy marketing site was underperforming in search rankings due to poor Core Web Vitals scores. Their blog and landing pages loaded slowly, hurting both SEO and lead generation.

The Problem
This SaaS marketing site had over 200 blog posts and 50 landing pages built with a heavy page builder. The site loaded in 4.8 seconds on average, with Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) regularly exceeding 4 seconds. Google had flagged the site with “Poor” Core Web Vitals in Search Console, and organic traffic had been declining for three consecutive quarters. Their marketing team was producing great content, but it was essentially invisible because Google was deprioritizing their pages.
Our Approach
Our audit revealed three major bottlenecks: an overloaded page builder generating excessive DOM elements, unoptimized hero images on every landing page, and no server-side caching. We migrated critical landing pages to lightweight custom blocks, implemented responsive image srcsets with AVIF/WebP delivery, configured LiteSpeed Cache with ESI for dynamic elements, optimized the MySQL database (removing 800MB of post revision bloat), and implemented critical CSS extraction for above-the-fold rendering.
The Results
PageSpeed improved from 41 to 97. Load time dropped from 4.8s to 0.8s. LCP went from 4.1s to 1.2s. Within two months, the site regained its “Good” Core Web Vitals status in Google Search Console. Organic traffic increased by 34% over the following quarter, and their landing page conversion rate improved by 19%.
“We had been struggling with declining organic traffic for months. After the optimization, our search rankings recovered and we started seeing more leads than ever. The ROI on this project was incredible.”
